Jyoti was born in Kenya and has been residing in the UK for the last 38 years. She has been practising Yoga for 25 years and Yoga has become a way of life for her.

Jyoti is a Sivananda-trained Yoga teacher. This training took place in Kerala, South India.

She took a further 2 years training in Yoga Therapy with Yoga Biomedical Trust at Great Ormond Street. She has specialized in working with Cardiovascular, Respiratory Disorder, IBS, Cancer, Arthritis, Well Women, and Lower Back Pain and other ailments such as Hypertension, Anxiety, Depression and Phobia. She was also one of Yoga Biomedical Trust's main therapists for over 3 years.

Jyoti has also specialised in Pregnancy & Childbirth, Post-Natal Yoga and Baby Yoga as part of the Yoga Therapy course and is a Birthlight-trained teacher and has been teaching Pregnancy Yoga for 20 years.

As a mother of three daughters, as well as a grandmother, she shares her personal experience as well as her knowledge in this field with all mothers-to-be who attend her classes and who otherwise seek her help in various ways.

Jyoti did a further training with Essentials for Health and trained as a Swedish Holistic Massage Therapist and thus combines Remedial Massage and Yoga Therapy to heal different ailments and Back Pain at a Holistic level.

Jyoti's approach is very intuitive and holistic. She also uses Sound and Vedic chants, using her own voice, which helps bring the five elements in balance thus bringing peace and harmony to the whole Being. Many Beings have been healed at a holistic level through Jyoti's unique approach of Therapy work. Jyoti's voice and her great belief in the power of sound and the healing power of the Vedic Chants has drawn many to her for help at a holistic level. Many have felt healed through her guided Deep Relaxations.

On several occasions Jyoti has also been invited, nationally and internationally, for workshops in this field.

Yoga has become a way of life for Jyoti. She is further inspired by her spiritual Guruji, His Holiness Pujya Chandra Swami Udasin.

Over the years of her own Yogic practices and teaching she has developed her own unique style of teaching and giving therapeutic treatments to her clients.

Jyoti's love for nature has led her to study Horticulture at Capel Manor College.

Charitable Work:

Jyoti wishes to help as many people as possible through her work. Her keen interest in charitable work has led her to work with Bhagwantiananda Education and Health Trust for the last 15 years. She is a trustee of a BEHT, a UK-registered charity, whose work is carried out in the rural parts of India. She helps organize awareness and fund-raising events.

In 2011 Jyoti took up a challenge to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to help raise funds to equip a newly-built hospital in Gujarat and had a great and up-lifting experience with this endeavor.

She has a great passion for Indian Classical Music and helps organize concerts when the opportunity arises.
